| Toastmasters - About our Community The Toastmasters Community of Practice (CoP) is charted to lead Laboratory employees through the process of self-improvement and leadership training to increase their confidence and usefulness in business, professional, and community life. Examples include: Improve employee oral expression and thought.
Develop employee confidence and ability to speak in public, professional meetings, and technical workshops etc.
Learn to effectively organize and present talking points and presentation content to teach, motivate, or persuade an audience.
Toastmasters - About our ClubThe INL Initiators is a corporate Toastmasters club sponsored by the Idaho National Laboratory. Providing members with tools to practice and develop their speaking and leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment. Through Toastmasters' time-tested education program, we foster a diverse community of all ages and backgrounds where we encourage each other to grow and learn at each meeting, regardless of whether we take on a formal role or not. Walk into any meeting and you'll hear supportive applause, laughter, constructive feedback for constant improvement, and a deep spirit of comradery. Our club welcomes everyone, regardless of speaking experience, language proficiency, goals, education, or background. From those who have years of speaking under their belts to those just starting to find their voices, we all have something to teach and something to learn, and we're proud to do that together. Through our education programs and hands-on opportunities, we support members as they strive for specific goals with one-on-one mentoring, feedback, and the cultivation of existing strengths they may not realize they have. Not sure if Toastmasters is for you? COME VISIT! Visiting a Toastmasters meeting is an exciting first step in reaching your goals. There is no need to feel pressure to participate at your first club meeting - you can simply observe if you wish. The INL Initiators meet every two weeks on Thursday (before a working Friday) in EROB 350 from 7:00 am til 8:30 am. There is also a TEAMS link for those unable to meet in person. Check the calendar to ensure that the location has not changed! How can I join? Members of the INL Initiators Toastmasters Club are automatically members of the Toastmasters CoP.
